1999-2000: Although officially forced into retirement at Blackwood High School, Tim resumed his soccer career at Flinders University in 1999 (along with his trusted sidekick). Tim's brutal intensity and leadership quickly transformed the fledgling club. The Garry Kasparov of the Flinders midfield, Tim dominated during the season in all facets of the game; most yellow cards, most bad tackles and most broken shinguards. Significant highlights of his Flinders sojourn include a post-game changing room bust-up with the coach and during a game against the Uni Whites (away), being threatened with dismissal by the referee at the time, Bill Hill. At the end of season dinner, Tim collected the Best and Fairest Award. The night was capped off superbly with the B's coach grabbing the microphone and announcing to all that he had just proposed to his girlfriend, and that she had accepted. From last confirmed reports, the coach is now engaged to a different woman.

2001-03: Tim's free transfer to the Adelaide Uni Whites (again with his sidekick and trusted chauffeur) at the beginning of the 2001 season re-energised the Uni White B's. Quickly sensing Tim's training ground intensity and aggression, Head Coach John Whitehouse implemented a standing policy of always playing on the opposite team to the Flinders export in practice games. Continuing his midfield marshalling role, Tim had a stellar first season at his new club. A particular highlight was the grudge re-match against his former team, Flinders, where he proceeded to crack three ribs of a player (Ali Smith) during a brutal (but legal) sliding tackle. Tim was also the first recipient of the B's Best and Fairest Jacket. Now in his third season at the club, Tim's form has further blossomed since the departure of his old compatriot and he has now entrenched himself in the A's team. His intensity and passion has been a much needed addition to the glamour team, although he still needs to work on his sledging.
