Game 11: St Peters 1 - 4 Uni White

Difficult to remember anything about this one, except that the result was never in doubt and it was our first win in the land of "Private Blue". Edgar. Need I say more?

Game 12: Uni White 9 - 0 Uni Black

Again no goals for me, but everyone else had a merry slap at it. I don't think Leo played in this one and the Blacks suffered for it. It was a leisurely outing with goals dripping happily and Eric scaring away the Blacks midfield.

Game 13: Magill 2 - 5 Uni White

Chris "The Dentist" Pazios made this hard fought game in the mud and drizzle especially memorable. Magill once again stayed with us more than other teams did and even pulled a couple of goals back, which didn't make Franky very happy.

However, back to Chris, the right defensive wonder had popped up at the edge of the box and chipped a ball towards the opposition's goal, taking the rolling ball first time.

Magill's keeper, a gentleman decked out in the latest gear and an ardent student of goalkeeper's gestures ("hey, I'm cool"), judged the ball correctly and merely waved his hand as it sailed over the bar.

Within 30 seconds from the resulting kick-off, the ball rolled to Chris again. The "Gentleman of the Game" again chipped it sweetly from about the same position and the keeper (ultra cool) waved his hand and was about to turn to gather the ball when it dipped sweetly under the bar and into the net.

A brilliant and important goal and I must say the Magill lads struggled with their encouraging comments towards their goalkeeper after this little episode.

Game 14: Uni White 7 - 1 Grads Reds

Yes, one should lay off the toxins the night before a game, but when you're put through as sweetly as I was, it feels natural to blast it home into the far corner, no matter how relaxed you are. 1:0 and the Reds were kept very quiet all game, except for their sole goal where these veterans put a move together, which was slow enough so we could all appreciate it, but so well worked that we weren't able to touch the ball. Hats off!

Game 15: Uni White 6 - 2 Uni Blue

I got a sweet double as the Blues were fought down in perfect conditions. Sidestepping the last defender and finishing with my weaker foot was sweet indeed. Full credit to all players for making even the better teams seem ordinary by comparison.

Game 16: Uni White 4 - 1 Old Ignatians

All I remember was, was that this one was an anti-climax. Our main opponent couldn't match us in this rematch. We dominated, controlled the game and extended the gap between us and the rest of the teams.
